Anthropic has announced the release of Claude Fable 5.1 and Mythos 5.1, two advanced AI models designed to expand capabilities in coding, research, and sensitive applications. Both models now support a context window of 1 million tokens, enabling processing of extensive data sets, and are priced at $10 and $50 per million tokens, respectively. Additionally, the models have reduced costs associated with caching read operations.
Fable 5.1 is tailored for general use cases such as programming and knowledge tasks, while Mythos 5.1 is aimed at more sensitive domains like cybersecurity and life sciences. Access to Mythos 5.1 is restricted to verified organizations through Anthropic's Project Glasswing initiative.
The updated models feature lower operational costs and enhanced accuracy, alongside the integration of Enterprise Safeguards. These safeguards allow organizations to securely store sensitive data within their own infrastructure, improving safety and compliance.
Benchmark results indicate significant improvements in efficiency over previous versions. Both models are now available via API and cloud platforms, supporting enterprise deployment and integration.
The release enhances AI capabilities for enterprise users, offering improved safety, cost efficiency, and processing capacity, which could influence AI deployment strategies in sensitive sectors.
