Reminder to File the 2026 Annual Report of Blocked Property | OFAC

OFAC reminds U.S. persons holding blocked property to file the 2026 Annual Report by September 30. The report excludes property that has been unblocked or is not considered blocked property.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has issued a reminder that U.S. persons holding property that is blocked under OFAC regulations must file an Annual Report of Blocked Property (ARBP) by September 30, 2026. This requirement applies to property that was blocked as of June 30, 2026. Property that has been unblocked through licenses or was previously blocked under terminated sanctions programs should not be included in the report. Additionally, restricted accounts of Iranian residents are not considered blocked property unless there is an interest from a person with blocked property interests. Filers must use the spreadsheet form TD-F 90-22.50 and submit it via the OFAC Reporting System. Failure to comply may result in violations of the regulations. This notice is relevant for crypto companies and investors managing assets under U.S. jurisdiction, especially those involved in sanctions compliance.
