Strategy increased its dollar reserve to $3.225 billion while pausing additional bitcoin purchases, according to disclosures dated July 20, 2026.

During the prior week, the company sold approximately $263.5 million of MSTR shares and added $225 million to its dollar reserve. It reported no bitcoin purchases, leaving its holdings unchanged at 843,775 BTC.

The update matters because Strategy, the largest corporate bitcoin holder, has historically pursued aggressive bitcoin accumulation. Its latest activity instead reflects an emphasis on liquidity and financing obligations rather than expanding its BTC position.

The share sales, reserve increase, absence of bitcoin purchases and total BTC holdings are confirmed by the disclosed figures. What remains uncertain is whether the pause in bitcoin buying is temporary, how long Strategy will maintain this liquidity-focused approach and when, if at all, it will resume accumulating bitcoin.

Strategy’s unchanged bitcoin position and larger dollar reserve mark a shift toward liquidity management and financing obligations, at least for the reported period, rather than continued BTC accumulation.
