Revolut has begun a phased rollout of its euro stablecoin EURR in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, aiming to enhance cross-border payments and on-chain transactions within its app.

Revolut, a leading fintech company with millions of users, has initiated a phased deployment of its euro stablecoin EURR. The token, issued by Bridge Building S.A., a subsidiary of Stripe, is backed by reserves in compliance with European MiCA standards and pegged to €1. Currently available in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, the stablecoin is designed to facilitate in-app payments, transfers, and on-chain operations. This move aims to integrate digital euro functionalities into Revolut's ecosystem, potentially increasing the use of digital euros across Europe. Future plans include expanding access throughout the European Union and introducing additional stablecoins denominated in other currencies.
The rollout could accelerate adoption of digital euro solutions and influence the broader fintech and payments landscape in Europe.
