OFAC Reminds U.S. Persons to File 2026 Blocked Property Report and Updates Venezuela-Related Licenses
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued a reminder for U.S. persons to file the 2026 Annual Report of Blocked Property and announced amendments to Venezuela-related general licenses and FAQs.

UOn July 1, 2026, OFAC issued a notice reminding U.S. persons holding blocked property as of June 30, 2026, to file the Annual Report of Blocked Property (ARBP) by September 30, 2026. Failure to comply may result in enforcement actions. OFAC also issued new Venezuela-related general licenses, including License 51D, which authorizes activities involving Venezuelan coal or minerals such as gold; License 54C, permitting the supply of certain items and services for coal or mineral operations in Venezuela; and License 55A, allowing negotiations and entry into contingent contracts for investments in Venezuela's coal and minerals sectors. Additionally, OFAC amended FAQ 1247 concerning Venezuela-related sanctions.
