FC Barcelona's Mobile Service Develops Digital Wallet with Stellar, Wirex, and Crossmint

FC Barcelona's official mobile telecom service, Barça Mobile, is working on developing an in-app digital wallet. The project involves partnerships with Wirex, Crossmint, and the Stellar Development Foundation, announced on August 5. Wirex will provide the payment and card infrastructure, enabling users to manage transactions and cards within the app. Crossmint will handle wallet onboarding, facilitating user registration and wallet creation. The Stellar blockchain will serve as the underlying layer for the wallet, supporting secure and efficient transactions. This initiative aims to integrate blockchain technology into the club's mobile services, potentially enhancing user experience and expanding digital financial services within the sports ecosystem.
