Dark Web Drug Trafficking Organization Dismantled in Multinational Law Enforcement Operation
Law enforcement authorities have successfully dismantled a sophisticated dark web drug trafficking organization operating across the United States and Colombia, leading to multiple convictions and sentences.

UIn a coordinated effort involving U.S. and Colombian agencies, authorities have dismantled the Undertaker45 drug trafficking organization, which operated on the dark web from July 2017 to May 2023. The group used various dark web marketplaces and encrypted messaging platforms to distribute counterfeit pills containing fentanyl and methamphetamine, posing serious public health risks.
The operation led to the arrest and prosecution of key members in Florida, North Carolina, and Medellín, Colombia. Cesar Augusto Olmos Usaquen, based in Medellín, led the organization’s dark web operations, managing orders and shipments. U.S.-based leaders Juan Carlos Carroll Borrero and Eduardo Villarroel Bellorin handled distribution and money laundering activities, respectively.
The organization was responsible for selling approximately 40 kilograms of methamphetamine and fentanyl pills, generating around $2.5 million in drug proceeds. The members were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 38 to 90 months. The case underscores the ongoing efforts of the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) to combat transnational criminal organizations involved in drug trafficking and related crimes.
The operation disrupted a major transnational drug trafficking network, reducing the distribution of dangerous counterfeit pills in the U.S. and Colombia.
