On August 25, Binance Futures announced the launch of five new perpetual contracts tied to stocks and ETFs, with leverage up to 20x. These contracts are traded in USDT and are settled every eight hours. Unlike traditional markets, these new instruments allow traders to engage in 24/7 trading, including weekends and overnight hours, bringing crypto derivatives closer to traditional market hours.
The new contracts include options on GraniteShares 2× Long and Short SK Hynix ETF, Roundhill 2× Long DRAM ETF, as well as on Trump Media and Moderna. This expansion provides traders with increased opportunities for hedging and speculation without owning the underlying assets.
This move signifies Binance's effort to integrate traditional financial instruments into the crypto ecosystem, offering more flexible trading options. However, traders should be aware of the increased risks associated with high leverage and continuous trading.
The launch broadens Binance's derivatives market, offering new tools for traders to access stocks and ETFs with leverage and continuous trading hours, potentially increasing market activity and risk exposure.
