India Develops Payment Infrastructure for AI Agents

India is working on a new payment infrastructure called the Unified Agent Protocol, designed to enable AI agents to execute small transactions independently within predefined limits and conditions. This initiative aims to significantly expand the capabilities of AI delegation in economic activities, such as purchasing or paying for services. The system will incorporate mechanisms for auditing, identification, and fund reservation to ensure security and compliance.
